Cabin for Rent
Log cabin in Bear Canyon
15 min East of Bozeman,
the cabin is about 3 miles up Bear Canyon
Two ways to get to Bear Canyon
1- take Kagy going east from the MSU field house area - it turns into Bozeman Trail Road
its about 4 miles when you come to Bear Canyon right hand turn.
2 Take I15 from Bozeman toward Livingston - take the Bear Canyon exit - make a right turn at the bottom of the ramp and go about 300 yrds then make a left turn on Bear Canyon Road.
the cabin cannot be seen from Bear Canyon Road . It is off the road up a driveway about 300 yards
This 300 yrd driveway in the winter is a very tough steep and difficult to make it up the last 100 yrds -- Personally my wife and I and many of my renters have parked at the bottom and walked up the 100 yrds.
Private, yes its very private
loft bedroom- a set of steep steps take you into the loft bedroom
Kitchen - has a refrigerator, range double sink and antique kitch hutch
Bathroom- tub shower, toilet and sink
no laundry and no real way to add one
wood heat - efficient wood stove with glass fireplace - you must get your own wood in and that must be done asap as winter can hit anytime after oct 31 - can began hauling wood in now -
Non Smokers only
$650 month plus utilities - mainly electric (water heater and water pump etc.)
year lease
requires first month - last month and deposit of $600
has been very helpful
Pets
a cat is recommended-- there is mice and in the fall the look for a place to go- a cat has been very helpful
Dogs with get refferences - and additional $100 deposit (Ive had to clean up after dogs)
no loud barking dogs and only a dog that will stay by the cabin and not run off and all around
Mostly unfurnished - but there is a swing on the front porch , wood chairs and rocker
